Billing Lro show postponed till the 10th,11th,12th of aug, happy with that as it gives me a bit more time to sort the landy;) and I'll have a bit more money to spend:D

I have got the rear shocks and springs ready to go if you still want, the fronts I should have sorted by the weekend. These axles are bloody heavy!!

Might even be able to come along to billing show... will have to see though as I think I got a wedding that weekend...

have access to a computer again. which is nice.

however while attempting to do a oil change recently i noticed hairline cracks in the gearbox (right next to the splined filler plug)

basically need another gearbox. all the rest seems ok. (for now)

any ideas where or who? (prefer someone on here who has used the 'box rather than RGB or fleabay)

also dont really want to fit it myself - so suggestions of cheap place to get it done over/by the weekend

or if i have to do it myself -exactly how much of a bastad is it to do?

melbourne, chelmsford but its only 5 minutes

cant think of any lanes in writtle

there was one but it's TRO'd (i think)

Essex Way is 5 minutes down the 1060 and good easter ford on other side

If you go to the end of cow watering lane and at the end do a right follow it round and there is an S bend - there is a byway on the corner! On the os map there's loads and whats tro'd?

hi harry give this guy a ring, he has done work on mine before. he only does LRs
Dean,07970 024334. he also has some used bits so you might be lucky, haven't used him for a couple of years but he is your way, back of witham

Not sure if anyone is about tomorrow night, but the fords should be high!
But I won't be able to leave home until 7:45

Dan a TRO is a legal order restricting or preventing access to a public right of way.
Public rights of way traffic regulation orders

I need rid of this disco so gotta work fast, I will be leaving the boxes for now tho. The suspension will consist of shocks & springs, cones and tubular turrets, we will sort at the end of the month...

Have you looked into getting a complete loom? Pity your not nearer to me, it only took me a few hours to completely rewire mine. Im sure someone will do a diagram for it...

Cheers mate, Got the Haynes book of lies ;)but some colours ain't matching up with the diag, going to have to get the multi tester out and run some tests, doubt I'll get the loom back through the chasis so I think I'll put it in some conduit and tie it up nice and tight to the top of the chasis, il get there just a pain, even thou I work for bt I still hate wiring:eek:

It will be a bugger to get through so yeah tie it to the chassis, get some loom tape to keep it all together (you could use duct tape, its just as strong). Let me know if you need any breather bits as I got all mine coming off my disco...

Little website some people may be interested in:

www.wetroads.co.uk

Lists all the local fords in the area, may be worth a look...
