It's been like it for some time, just don't like leaving thing.

That doesnt sound good, is it urgent or is it still useable? No doubt billing will have a parts swap going on. If you get desperate my standard one will be going spare soon....

Cheers anyway Jon but I'm not deserate YET. It has got better than it was so I'll live with it for a bit longer.
It's not done bad, as by the time I sold all the other bits I took out the engine & tranny box only cost £15 I'm not going to complain.

But I think it has done more miles than he said. Head's on it's last skim, bottom end on it's way out & input gear spacer was a old turned down bearing housing. But as I said £15's not bad.

Not bad for £100 brand new... all because it had a scratch on it under where the fairlead roller sits so it wouldnt make a difference anyway

Just need to do some wiring, swap that front axle over and im ready... until I do the gearbox that is...

That is the raptor dash on the screen Just finishing off the wiring and then it will be fitted...

well thought knocking was a wheel bearing going so got under and had a look, and noticed steering arms were not tight. done it all up tight, went to test drive it and some more serious clunking got under and found this.

How's everbody getting on, it's been a bit quiet on here lately?

Well I think I've turned a corner at last with all my problems I've been having (some self inflicted).
Sealed up an oil leak I had & then tightened up the intermediate gear on the transfer box so no more rumbling.

Now just started on the centre console (home made with the help of work).

glad your finnaly getting there mate

sorted my wiring loom yesterday made new brake lines and fuel lines, went to start it and nothing the starter motor is deadthats two ive gone through now in a month, sometimes these things can test ya patience so i gave up and went and got ****ed, so time to get one refurbed next week i think.

Heard a knocking, and saw the lock nut wasn't tight. done it up dropped it off stands turned the steering wheel and the thread must have gave way.just pleased i was on my drive and not M25.
Was speaking to James and he is about to change his to the disco set up, if my track rod is bolloxed as well might go down the same route. Gonna contact press brake think he does HD rods.

If there is anything you need from my breaker Geoff then let me know.

I think the steering set up on discos are different,they have track rods on both ends and I need a cross rod eye, the bit that's sheared out the track Rod, unless you have an HD steering rod.
If anyone has a cross rod eye I'll take it for now just to see if my track rod threads are still ok, if not then its gonna get disco HD set up.

disco set up involves moving steering damper to rear tie bar and disco drop arm doesnt have balljoint, balljoint goes on the end of track rod.

The track rod end goes straight on to drop arm, doing away with drop arm pin, can the damper not go on the track rod I'm sure I've seen this. Is this right Ian. What you got on yours
