Last year it gets broken into when it snowed and this year the engine packs up. Really becoming less and less interested in keeping a Land Rover
It's all part of the fun.

Went to stansted today, bent a trailing arm to 90 degrees. Snapped the flange on the rear prop, then limped home in 2wd. Fixed that with some of the junk I have in the shed (the wife's word's not mine)
Then got the sledge out & took the kids up the park.

I'm now about to fall asleep the the chair.................I'm getting to old for all this.

Glad you got home ok mate. Was a good day. Disappointed how clear the roads were on the way home, its like they have gritted and ploughed everywhere :(
Cheers for the help. I cheated & went down the motorway, that was so I can't get stuck.
Think it has started to melt, cos it was warm as my hands didn't weld to the cold metal.

Well my lack of mantainance is showing through nicely.
Tried starting mine for the first time in a couple of weeks. Charged the battery overnight night. Got it to fire and was running really rough, very loud engine note, lot of white smoke, hugh amounts if you try the throttle and no real power (can only move it in low range).
Drained the fuel filter and removed the air filter but made no difference.

Looks like I'm stuck at home till the snow goes, one time I need the ****ing truck.

sounds like split bleed off or fuel line to me. on another note had a good eve with brian, 17 recoveries in total.

Mike come down and had a look at the truck with me and its looking possible that mud in the cover has caused the belt to slip.

Gonna order another belt kit this week. That'll be the tired one in about 5000 miles!
