Got it started in the end, I reckon I've got water in the solenoid. A few sharp taps with a scaffold pole and it came to life.

It is VERY deep round here. Stepping out onto the street, I went down halfway to my knee!

Well my lack of mantainance is showing through nicely.
Tried starting mine for the first time in a couple of weeks. Charged the battery overnight night. Got it to fire and was running really rough, very loud engine note, lot of white smoke, hugh amounts if you try the throttle and no real power (can only move it in low range).
Drained the fuel filter and removed the air filter but made no difference.

Looks like I'm stuck at home till the snow goes, one time I need the ****ing truck.

Any ****ty veggie oil in your system?

Just got in, been a taxi service and tow service in Colchester with Mikey.

don't mind the towing - keep straps & ropes & 2way radios ("get off the fecking brakes") in motor all year round.

it's the looks of disgust at dirt inside landy that put me off taxi duty.

they can always walk....:D

3 recoveries and off to fetch my grandad now...

Heading back out soon, but this time with the kids & sledges.
Straps still in the back and hopefully find some more stranded souls.

Had great fun last night, apart from the blank expressions when you ask them to find their towing eye

Think it maybe a bigger problem. Tried to drive it up the road and won't revs past 2.5K, **** all power and so much white, grey and blue smokeout the back I can't see a thing out the back window.
Could valve stem seals cause it?

My old smiley Transit wouldn't rev over 2k and it turned out that it was an injector seal ;) The cold had broken it all up.
