Ebay Complacency

Hmm..i hear you..but what he is selling is the chassis alone, and admitting it is rotten beyond repair..so any rebuild would have NO original parts, therefore illegal.

He is, as we all know, basically selling the id, whether he is aware that is illegal i can't comment on...but i'd like to know how he intends to post the chassis for £10

PLEASE KEEP EMAILS BRIEF AND TO THE POINT AND PROVIDE BOTH A URL AND EBAY ITEM NUMBER.

It would be helpful if you see a suspicious vehicle on ebay to post it here [in stolen land rovers section] and mention if you have reported it to AVCIS so that multiple reports of same vehicle dont occur.

This is the most direct effective way of shutting down these bastards and making things difficult for them and hopefully reducing thefts/ringing.

Oh..tis been taken off...but not by ebay! Seller may have found a thie...sorry, restorer.

I was on ebay looking at chassis as i nearly have enough parts to build another one and couldnt believe how blatant some of the sellers are about cloneing ,selling chassis beyond repair with log books.

The blatant selling of vin tags on ebay really boils my ****, i've reported no end but from experience, ebay will only take them down if the seller is listing the V5 and tags only, if they include a rotten bit of the vehicle then they won't cancel the auction even though it's obvious what is for sale. Reported these three tonight, i very much doubt that ebay will remove any of them, despite the clear wording in this one:

"I have for auction a TAX EXEMPT chassis with V5 that is very rotten in fact it is rotting by the day and if it is won i will probably have to help with its disposal or i could sweep it up and send it through the post along with the V5 and number plates."
