At Aveton Gifford, it's a bit scary when you can't see where the road goes and knowing if a wheel drops into the mud you've had it :eek:

It was a High tide Sunday, (5.1m). We went down about an hour and a half after high water.
Then I thought the deepest part was the Aveton end of the road, that came upto just above the headlights.
It's not to bad at the othe end as the poles mark the route but you still need to keep to the centre line.

That'll be proper salty and it'll have got into all the nooks and crannies where you'll never be able to wash it out properly. Surely the idea is to drive it when the tide's out:confused:
