Done the tidal road yesterday

At Aveton Gifford, it's a bit scary when you can't see where the road goes and knowing if a wheel drops into the mud you've had it

hows deeps that?

It was a High tide Sunday, (5.1m). We went down about an hour and a half after high water.
Then I thought the deepest part was the Aveton end of the road, that came upto just above the headlights.
It's not to bad at the othe end as the poles mark the route but you still need to keep to the centre line.

Salt water?The water looks dark enough to be a bit tricky.

Well it is the river Avon here and the sea is about a mile away, so it may be slighly salty

that looks like a lot of fun.. not for a V8 though..

That'll be proper salty and it'll have got into all the nooks and crannies where you'll never be able to wash it out properly. Surely the idea is to drive it when the tide's out

Exactly, if you are going to drive that kind of road at low tide you might as well trade the landy in for a FIAT Panda

Your landy will be as rotten as a pear in a few years. That lovely brine will see to that
