if it does it when hot let it cool down and try it again-could be sticking oil relief valve-what to get tester on it
fat pie munchin superstore workers get fat yer know.....
ere Bob nice series pity about the paint job though.......is it one o they clown cars that the bumpers fall off and doors open the wroong way ? do you tie ballons to it as well ? snigger
just took disco out for a test drive......blowing out a little smoke on hard acceleration...well as hard as its gonna get due to the lack of power ! The oil light now only flickers on when its idlin...and turbo is whistlin way louder than it ever did ?
whats the thickness of the oil like? Does it smell diesely?
Change the oil and the filter, clean the pressure relief valve, even remove oil pump and clean pickup and strainer. This is what I was going to recommend.......but you never ring back
new oil and filter
doing the valve next weekend when its not torrential rain !
update when cold it blows out loads and I mean loads of blue smoke for about 10 seconds......then all clear...after injin warms up the oil pressure drops the longer the engine is running ?
rings and main bearings,is it rumbling from the bottom end D.
rings wouldnt cause low oil pressure and it dont rumble. It sounds like a duff oil pressure valve causing lack of oil to valve guides causing extra wear and oil draining into combustion chambers overnight. However I am not convinced by my own argument. I do think it is more than one fault tho.
MY BAD - i was talking about bearings not rumbling, just didnt differentiate. The injun sounded like a normal doozil to me when i last heard it, noisy - but not unusually so, hence thats why i dont think it is bearings (yet)
