Good evening,

We are seeking to find anyone who has had problems with dealing with the named guy Paul Andrew Moir who is running the above businesses although image4x4 was dissolved in December 2016 he has still be trading with it.

We purchased a series 3 nut and bolt rebuild back in November 2019, he started in January 2020, was told to insure it for August 2020 as that's when it would be completed (delays with parts due to covid 19 so he blames) with a valuation of £35.000 on the understanding Paul Moir would complete this paperwork for the insurance company, since August 2020 we have constantly been chasing him for completion date, he then agreed Oct 2020, then December 19th 2020, even though he knew full well it wouldn't be completed as he hasn't done nothing on it. He did no work all summer due to me refusing another payment, I requested to pull out but he said it was too late so had to pay up the next installment and was worried would lose what we already had invested.

We visited weekly and nothing had changed even staff members were asking where parts were that we had paid for were so could work on it.

Unresponsive communication via text or email & phone calls, just kept working on other land rovers but mine was only one that was paid up for. Then texted promising Jan 2021 - date then missed again.

Feb 21 - nothing else completed.
Easter week 21 we visited - told we wanted to take the land rover out and take it elsewhere, he said it was just days away from completion.
End of April - still working on others..
May 2021 - visited weekly but progress so very very slow.
June 2021 - no reason why it won't be ready by 4th June 2021 - failed date yet again, still parts missing to finish.

Couldn't get it collected due to him not having the wheels, dispute us contacting the garage where they were, to be told been ready 6 months just not paid for them even though we paid in advance.

Friday 22nd June - last straw told him we were pulling it out next Friday to make sure it would be ready for Friday 29th.

Collection day - 29th June luckily we had ordered wheel nuts, good job as we arrived to find only 2 on per wheel, no steps which where paid for by us plus many other parts missing.

Collected Friday 29th and took it to a local garage, MAJOR MOT FAILURE.

It's gunna cost THOUSANDS to fix all the things that are wrong.

He emailed last week saying good luck for the future and has now declated himself bankrupt.

I'm on with solicitors etc but just looking for other people who have experienced a bad service, I've found a few on the internet, how he keeps getting away with ripping geniune hardworking people off.

While it is certainly questionable and odd behaviour it is not illegal. He attempted to shut this chat down on that secondary point which had the added and primary benefit of removing all the negative reviews, comments and absolute horror stories from his victims. Being a victim myself and knowing many many others directly now, I can confirm that there is a huge mass of evidence which directly align with all the previous comments which flagged Paul Moir as the conman he most certainly is.
• I am also aware that there was a substantial negative reviews about Paul Andrew Moir t/a IMAGE4x4 on Google Review, these were also removed and since he was at the butt of all those negative reviews, it seems entirely logical that he had the removed by legal threat also. The problem with him having removed all the negative and verifiable reviews, is that it paved the way for more and more follow on victims.
• attempting to force me to sign a gag order before he would release my vehicle after I sent it back within the warranty period, I refused although I believe he had successfully tried this trick before,
• While refusing to let me resume possession of my vehicle at the end of the warranty period, and me knowing for a fact that he had not addressed the serious problems which prompted me to return it initially, he tried to force me to sign the previously mentioned gag order while at the same time instructing my legal team that I owed stg13,000 in storage charges which needed to be paid or vehicle could not be collected. I never bent over on this item either while strong-arming the collection of my vehicle.
• knowingly provided unroadworthy and extremely dangerous vehicles to so many of us; I am directly aware of several victims problems (including mine) :
  • where nuts were not tightened or not in existence in multiple parts of the vehicles, this included wheel nuts.
  • where chassis were rotten,
  • where engines, clutches and gear boxes failed very shortly after collection,
  • where bodywork was not prepared before painting, where painted over rust,
  • where suspension coils were fitted incorrectly, where wrong coils were even cut to fit in;
  • And many many other problems which should not have been problems.....I could easily list another 20 categories here.
  • Very luckily, nobody died as a result of his actions and had there been, it would surely have been qualified along the scale of murder or manslaughter when combined with his t acts of negligence, disregard for the duty of care on top of the contracts commitments which he breached with fervour.
• by not even providing some of us with vehicles at all; I am directly aware of at least one confirmed victim who never even received his vehicle and in fact it was never located in the IMAGE4x4 stock/inventory at the time of Pauls self declared bankruptcy
• by obtaining some very questionable MOT passes, I can confirm that he switched parts on my vehicle after it passed the MOT and before I collected it,
• by purchasing a vast amount of tools in the runup to declaring himself bust and then removing them from the asset list of IMAGE4x4,
• by removing all the Land Rover Defender parts and part vehicles from the asset list of IMAGE4x4 in the run up to declaring himself bankrupt,
• by selling items from the asset list of IMAGE4x4 via the likes of eBay during his period of bankruptcy, he sold vehicles and vehicle parts for cash on eBay by using the accounts of a couple of people close to him, possibly those related to his new girlfriend of 2021/2022 (post divorce where he sold the family residence) and her kids.
