Afternoon!
Looking for some pears of wisdom...
I've recent purchased a 2001 Discovery 2 (manual) which wasn't the cleanest example with various rust issues and the normal D2 issues. Over the weekend I had a couple of jobs I wanted to get done, including a full service, remove the EGR, and remove a stupid "performance chip" which was plugged into the ECU.
The service went fine and I took it for a driver after with no problems. Then later on I removed the performance chip (with the negative terminal disconnected) and replaced the EGR with a straight through pipe.
Now the disco will crank over happily but wont fire... I've put the battery on charge overnight to ensure its getting enough power however it just continually cranks.
I'm wondering if anyone could suggest the best places to start looking, I've tried plugging the chip in again and it's the same with the engine just cranking. I've checked all the fuses and theyook fine (not sure how to check relays).
Any advice would be greatly received!
Thanks
Andy
