Hi, Thanks for the insight.
That was what I thought, that it might be something to do with that bushings/arms etc. I couldn’t pin point wether it was both sides, as it seemed to be in the middle- My wife was driving the kids on a long journey and I was worried so called the AA. The engineer thought it might be a transmission issue but couldn’t confirm so it’s being relayed home as it’s 300 mile drive.
Could it be transmission?
hi
1) to test ur wishbones, put the suspension into access height, hold the top of the tyre and see if there’s any movement when u rock the tyre
2) assume u have an auto, if u lift off the accelerator and back on does it feel like there’s some give, ie like a loose uj etc , u can get a software update and reflash the transfer box, but have to be extremely careful, as u clear the adaptive settings first , this is normally done when new ATF oil has been replaced and basically reset the gearbox
3) gearbox vibration and revs fluctuating is indications of a failing torque converter, but know u didn’t mention any of those systems, just a heads up if u ever experience it
4) what mileage is urs on please , have u had all the belts done / along with the oil pump cover
if u look in the discovery section and know you’ve had urs a few years , but i’ve done some service guides etc, along with a buyers guides with what to look out for
hope that helps abit and if u pop over to the discovery section
