Hi all.
I had a coolant leak on my 1998 TD5 which was ever so slow. After tracking it down to the hose which goes from the bottom right hand side of the engine to the radiator, I ordered a genuine replacement from Land Rover themselves. It’s here and I’ve got it pushed onto the radiator end with the speed clip fastening it on, but at the engine end there is a small flange on the metal pipe I’m connecting the hose to. I cannot for love nor money get the hose over this rib. I can’t get the clip over, but the hose will not push any further on. I’ve tried the usual stuff of a boiling water bath and some washing up liquid, but no matter how hard I try I can’t get it on.
Firstly, I don’t remember seeing this flange when I took the hose off so I’m assuming it had the hose over it, but was I just not looking and the hose should only got up to this point? Secondly, if it is meant to go on further, has anyone got any ideas which would help?
Thank you I’m advance
