thinking of going for a trip out to devils pit near luton i have just got a standard p38 with standard tyres would like to know if this will be ok there or will i be just wasteing time going

...and be prepared to trash the lower front valance, smash front lower driver lights, amd just about every plastic lower trim attachment on the car....exactly what happened to a P38 last time.... it was progressively getting more bashed about each time we saw it.

IT also spent most of its time stuck....and it was a little tiresome for others waiting behind it on the course too

Don't even think about going, or if you really insist, just park up at the entrance and have a walk around. First, you motor won't make it around and second it'll be trashed. The mud is like a fine grinding paste that destroys everything. I only live down the road from the place and won't go near the place again and I'm pretty up for anything.
If you want a pay & play, Yarwell nr. Peterborough is pretty non-damaging as it's sand.

Whaddon can be non damaging if you just want to drive about but go with somone AND the most important thing is get some recovery points attached ASAP. I'm sure we could take you on a Laning trip localish Hitchen way if you prefer. Checkout Herts Laners thread and say hello. P.s its our pub meet tomorrow in Dunstable

Have you been to Bures, thats an old sand pit and we have found, as well as many others who go there, sand and water are also like a corse grinding paste, discs and pads, dont last long, and its get everywhere.

If you dont want to damage a motor its easy dont take it of road. do a bit of gentle greenlaning.
