hi i have a td5 defender 90 and i am looking to put 35"s or 37"s on it i was wondering if any of these will fit until i can afford a 2" lift. i will not be taking it off road until i get the suspension so im not too worried if the tyres will rub on the arches on the bumpy stuff for the time being i just want to know if they will fit under the arches without me haveing to cut them.

I've read that the biggest you can really get on standard springs is about 32-33"...

Although if you had a big bit of cardboard you could cut out a 35" or 37" circle and then offer it up agaisnt the arches to see if it will.

Guess it'd be rude not to join in!

Just had a quick read of that other thread about the stolen roll cage...have to say it looks as though they are very similar roll cages!

just waiting:D.

Anyway delboy did you ever test the rollcage of that 90 you were selling to see if it was the one nicked off BigBlue?

I was replying to that comment...looks like a lot of evidence pointing in the direction of delboy having a stolen a land rover roll cage and according to the original post this guy is apprently already 'known to the police'.

The police have been informed, they checked the registered address and he is 'known' (I doubt he is ignorant of it's orginal source) so I have left it in their less than capable hands.

So it's got nothing to do with what size tyres will fit under the arches per se, however my more cynical side got me thinking that if this guy is asking who's fitted 35-37" tyres on their Landy he could quite easily pop over with a Hi-lift and have himself a nice set...

At least you would've had plenty of practice at cutting things.
