Well I hope to be in your neck of the woods around 1pm on Friday. Apparently you can travel the convoy as a passenger of one of those taking part ;)

As soon as I know what Landy I'll be in I'll register. Due to work will be coming no earlier than Saturday, possibly even Sunday morning. May well have seats spare (whatever I'm in will have 7 seats ).

Nah - means that you are the 27 person in group 22 according to the c4h forum - purely for tracking purposes apparently and has nothing to do with where you are in the convoy.

Some of us - me included :) - have been told we are in the first group of 25, but that was in an email direct from the organizers

Thanks for that ;) :D :D

I registered quite early and havnt been told about my " position " in the convoy.
Mind you, my computers been down with a spyware infection for a couple of weeks, so wouldnt know any way.

I,m really looking forward to it as we have got someone to look after the children for 2 days, so its like a mini holiday for me and the Mrs. ( we,ve booked into a hotel with a spa, so I can leave her there come and talk about Landrovers all day !! ).

Del.

you registered a just under a week after me, Del... and I was borderline, I think. You may have been in the first few, but maybe not.

If not, it's down to how soon go get to the gate on the day - if you're early, you can be #29, otherwise you'll be further back!

If your computer is still infected, give me a shout... not sure when i'll be free, but i'm more than happy to attempt to fix it! I've had two to tackle since that one too! :)

First of all, HI, I only joined Landyzone this morning so this is my first post.
Been reading through your forums and even found the answer to a question I was going to post. :D
My P38 has a flat battery at the moment and waiting for a replacement from the Land Rover agent in Trowbridge.
Very keen on this and will sign up as soon as it’s up and running.
Will take caravan up on Friday :crazy_driver: and stay until Monday.
I live in Bradford on Avon so it will be A46, Fosse way and satnav.

You bought a battery from a dealer!!!!:eek:

“You bought a battery from a dealer!!!!”

No choice mate, battery dead flat (not used for 4 weeks) would not start, been on charge for 4 days. Lights just working but car will not start. Called my friendly RR dealer and they are going to come over and fit it for me.
AA wanted £100 for home start, might as well put that towards a new battery.

Golly...now i know you have the interweb thing as you are communicating!

You can get good deals with next day delivery easily, at less than £100...now i take it that you have hands as you can type and drive...so fitting should be a good learning experience :D

I'm impressed at your boldness...but maybe buying from a dealer is a money consuming pastime?

Bri, why dont you join me and Lennie setting off on Friday too? Going via "Royal" Wootton Bassett on to Cirencester joining Disco Ranger and then Fosse Way :D

As for the the first 25 after special cases, I think it was felt that those who managed to book REALLY early should be placed there in the order they booked. After that your number is a booking number and nothing to do with parade placement. Patrick, the organiser, will himself be right at the back after making sure everyone got off ok.

Special vehicle placement
1. HUE166
2. Lightweight with war Veteran
3. War widows
4. SAS vehicle

5...... 1st Marshal followed by everyone else

I'd advise anyone going to book, even if you dont know which LR you will be using. :D

Thanks for the offer; wife said we shall have the grand daughters over Easter so it looks like a trip to the coast instead. Pity because it seems like a fun outing for a very good cause.

Thanks Storm; bought a battery on-line £86, connected up my caravan battery to the terminals, replaced dud car batt, all fine and everything working.:)
