Ive posted my thoughts after 6 weeks and 1 month so thought id do the same after 4months

So far no breakdowns or major issues,
Parts required - rocker cover gasket
Things maintained - ep90'd everything (im trying to do a different maintenance job each month so im not in the garage for a whole week - yes i am keeping a record so i know when to do it again)

Things fixed - never been completely happy with the brakes they work fine but second pump of brakes was firmer and higher, so of course Ive bled brakes, adjusted brakes, bled and adjusted again, checked all brake shoes etc, bled and adjusted, taken off an cleaned everything with brake cleaner, bled and adjusted again. Still not happy - yesterday decided to check the pedal/master cylinder adjustment - half an hour later brakes perfect - oh well you live and learn (anyone want a gallon of brake fluid thats been through my brake circuit?)

Things added - old 1960's aa badge on grill - not the right era badge, it should be the square one for the 1970's but the Mrs bought it for me and it looks nice and i like it.
pipe insulation lagging on the seat belt bar, the dog sits in the back and rests his head on the bar, the lagging is to cushion it so he doesn't get concussion when we go over a bump

Miles driven to date 900 - mainly short trips taking dog out, going to tip, getting wood from diy shop and sometimes just driving because i can
Best trip - Brooklands new years day 64 miles drive there all apart from the first and last couple of miles on dual carriageway (if anyone drives regularly on a13 m25 they will know why i was apprehensive of this) being new years day road was quiet , we sat at around 50mph all the way there and back, ended up parked on the end of the finish straight next to another couple of landys. Best of all we passed around 15 broken down cars during the journey - none of them older than about 8 years old - win for the 48 year old land rover

Stupidest comment said to me "i crashed my car sliding on ice going round a corner i need something like your jeep for the winter"
First off its not a ****ing jeep - second if your shiny motor with ABS and traction control slides on ice how do you think my non-servo drum braked LAND ROVER is going to do? The thing with ice is - its ****ing ice, unless you have studded tyres or chains you will slide because its ice and ice is slippery no matter what your driving (ok winter tyres might help and 4 wheel drive will help get you going but once your sliding your sliding).

Really enjoying it, i even enjoy messing with the brakes despite the frustration, with the weather getting a bit warmer yesterday i was driving with the sides and back rolled up cant wait to get the roof off for the summer.

19 minutes into this is me arriving at brooklands with the remembrance poppy on the front grill
