Compare the Compare Sites!!!

Having had my renewal come thru from M**e T**n at over £700 thought 'I'll sit on the net for an hour or so getting some new quotes. Found an interesting piece on Which? site saying that it is now worth comparing comparison sites as the insurance companies now do deals with these sites where they will 'team up' with one the the comparison sites to offer better prices than the others so I thought I'd put it to the test and am glad I did!!

I won't name them but the clues are there...

Annoying Italian Man; £556 with '1066 battle' insurance company

Stickman: £550 with '1066 battle' insurance company again

Every little helps: £550 with dodgy online insurance retailer

Find it. Get it. Arg*s it : £436 with '1066 battle' company

So you can guess who I went with and I get a £30 voucher for buying thru their site to boot!!!

So, it pays to shop around folks.......

1. gocompare's best was hastings direct
2. confused.com was hastings direct as well
3. tescocompare was 1st central (bad reviews!)
4. argoscompare were the winners with hastings direct quoting £436. This was £114 LESS than with gocompare/confused.com were quoting for exactly the same policy! Add to this the £30 argos voucher for buying thru their site and they were £144 less than the other comparison sites and £296 cheaper than MoreThan who were my insurers last year.
