I find myself in the glorious position of having two wonderful young children, with a third on the way.

I really like the Freelander 2 and test drove one this weekend.

Problem is our existing car seats (isofix) dont fit all 3 in, side by side.

Has anyone else got round this problem?

Do landrovers recommended seats fit the bill?

Can I buy a slimline car seat (isofix)?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Not many vehicles will support 3 ISOFIX side by side in a row, lets face it the Freelander is not exactly narrow itself. Even the Fiat Multipla which is quite wide only supports 2 child seats. I am not even sure if the 3 seat row cars have ISOFIX in the rear.

I have 2 children at the moment, 1 (age 4) in a high back booster and the other (age 1.5) in a stage 2?? forward facing car seat. We have already tried out a rear facing child seat in the middle and it fitted fine. I have a Freelander 1 by the way. Fold the Isofix brackets away and move the seat over a bit. When looking for a new car, I had it in my head that I needed a car with Isofix points as my sons seat is an Isofix one. I didn't realise that the brackets folded away so it could be used as a normal child's car seat. Doh!!

Hope this helps.
