Anyone lost this?

Our airports are manned by loads of foreigners, so it wouldn't surprise me if one drove it out. I'd tell plod though

The guy that owns this landy dealership used to have a similar reg but cant remember the precise reg?

I have HPi'd it and it comes up as a 130 defender registered in 1995. New owner has only had it since 6th September 2012. Interestingly, it is listed as Yellow and a 7 Speed Auto !

Although timings of sale match timings of when it appeared outside the OP's house...

I see it is missing its VEL.

Could be stolen to order...

to ring ...as per HPI return

and lack of Tax disc to verify reg number and class...

might have to shimmy under and see if the chassis number lurks ...

Any windows etched wivs a VIN or anything ?

Any company stickers or ads ?

Or it's just spent it's entire life on an airport and has never needed a tax disc.

Sorry for the lack of reply, a member of the family who is a pilot is going to ask his contacts in Coventry airport (~2 miles away) and escalate to the police if required,

There is a tax disc sellotaped to the passenger side window. No markings on it for a company name whatsoever. I'll have a look inside and see if theres any other giveaways, I only looked for the steering column and door locks for damage and couldn't see much...

I would say it's hot stolen, and just waiting too cool off a tad.

I am interested that it is quite unique.

Conscience got the better of me....rang up the rozzers, they said that reg hasn't been reported stolen, gave them the address of where it is and all they could tell me is that the registered keeper is 'local'....I'll see how we get on with the airport enquiries as I'm still not 100%......

Looking up the reg shows that its yellow (it's not)...but does correctly say it's a 130....maybe a bit more asking around locally is in order!

Have you left a note on it?

That's what I'm going to do now, the other high probability now we think its not nicked is that it's broken somehow - so I'll offer help!

Could be false plates on a stolen one, is it a recent respray?

All Airport Operations Vehicles are Yellow as laid down by the CAA....

Obviously other Airside vehicles can be alsorts of colours - but Operations vehicles are Yellow!!
