In aldi tomorrow they are selling a 25 litre compressor with 3 year warranty for 75 quid, 15 meter airline with recoil reel with 3 year warrant 39 quid, regulator and filter, air cut off tool with metal cutting disc, air rachet and air sheet metal shearing cutter all cheap as chips.

Just thought I would let anyone know who wants good cheap DIY tools

Awww FFS! Ah've just started a new thread after just comin' back in from the garage!

Last time ah posted this offer up, there was loads o' folks interested and even went out and bought the stuff! Oh Well...;):D:D

I had a biscuit joiner from there 4 years ago, the same as a dewalt one only difference is the colour of the plastic body, oh and 150 quid price difference. It's good enough gear to have to hand for those jobs that come up now and then ; )

Would the sand blast attachment be suitable for sandblasting my stone fronted house? Id like to get rid of the black sooty stains on the stonework. Or is this compressor just not powerful enough?

I bought a power washer from aldi a while back. Looked the same as a karcher one but half the price. Used it once, put it in the shed, next time I wanted it it was broken. Not impressed.

There stuff is German made ; )

The mad hat man, was that a sarcy 25 litre?? Must say I have a 160 litre tank on mine, just thought they would be ok to a DIY er who only uses it now and then

You will get used to him mate..:p

As for the tools. The brother in law is a panel beater and bought the cut off tool a few years back to give it a go. Says it is as good as any he's had. For £7 who's complaining?

I bought the Aldi compressor last time. Fab value. I dinitroled my chassis and bulkhead, and even sprayed my landy (panels off). It has a 3 year warranty, made in Germany, £80 -what's not to like!

Oh, some of the tools are ****e - the regulator is crap, spotblast kit is a waste of time but the compressor is good. You could always get a reciever tank...
