i couldnt be arsed readin evry page so soz if this has been said:

a fender has hoooge wheels, are you telling me ur zook could get through the ruts left by a landy? i really doubt it, neither will it have the power to get up long steep hills, or the engine to wade up to the bonnet in water> so what is it good for?

The conclusions were;
No, it probably couldn't cope with the ruts
Yes, it could wade up to the bonnet, but only if the water wasn't flowing
Yes, it could haul it's light little body up a big hill.

still trying to work out why a jimerny owner joined a landrover forum?

maybe we should join the jimerny forum and tell them there motors are ****e and landrovers are better and see what response we get
Calm down. This thread is only a bit of fun, and I've never said that Landies are ****, just that Jimnies are good too. I think if you went on a Jimny forum and told them all their cars were ****e, then they'd be very upset and rightly so. I got away with this thread because;
a) I never said ****e, I said I like landies but claimed my car was better.
b) I have the cheaper car, and the underdog. Perhaps you'd like to tell the MX-5 forum how great your Porsche is too? To get a similar age/mileage landy, I would need four times the money.

So chill out. This thread is really just a way of saying hi without being ignored in the welcome room.

Sorry if I'm not welcome on your outings anymore. It's a shame, I had a great time and would love to come again, but if I'm not welcome, then I'll find some friendlier people. To answer your question, I joined because I was invited. I met many of you by accident and you made me feel welcome.

the thread was shouting spat or thats how it come accross
look at it from our side.you join a landrover forum owning a suzuki,then post a thread saying your jimmny is better than a landrover what sort or response did you think you would get?
what is your purpose of joining the forum?
all members here all landrover enthusiasts but you own a suzuki,i still fail to see why you want to be a member here,surely a suzuki/jimmny forum is what is best suited to a suzuki jimny owner?

that would be a polite way of putting it :D

we will always welcome any offroad enthusiasts on our day outs regardless of vehicle.

but then when they join the forum your a member of and there 1st post is stating there non related landy is better than a landrover,what would u think?

I see your point, and why you might take it the wrong way, but this thread was really just a way of creating some banter and introducing myself. Please don't get annoyed by it.

I'll admit now, that yes a defender is better off road most of the time, but I bet most of you seriously underestimated the Jimny when it turned up on Sunday, and I hope I've persuaded at least some of you that it's not as bad as you first thought.

It was fun banter earlier, but it seems to be going downhill, so perhaps I should let this thread die in peace.

lets have our own off road challenge!

i will take a mates disco which cost him about a grand to core, and you take your jimny, then we will see what does better

you can pick up a series, a disco, even a rangey classic, and an early 90 for 2500, all of which i reckon will actually be better all round of roaders than a jimny. sure a jimny has its stongpoints, but i bet you my bottom dollar they wont match up - same driver, same lines same everything the land rovers will come out top i have no question

its just a big fancy quad for a woman A Defender is a real mans jeep
A jimmy jim jim jim is just for little boys but really for girls

Oi!! A Defender is a 4x4 for women
A Defender is a LAND ROVER Not a bloody j33p *spit*

To the O.P:
Jimny's are ****e; I've recovered more bloody zooks than ever I have Landies; or maybe it's that Landy Drivers just drive better off road?? :rolleyes:

sounds like a challenge, with photo 's so I can **** myself laughing

everning Janie - woken up?:p

Evening Daft :D no, I r been awake all day!! :eek: Just thought I'd pop in and have a look what's going on around here; nothing changes does it? Some tit who doesn't own a Landy joins a forum for erm, let's see.... Landy Owners and expects to make friends by making stupid comments :rolleyes:

Well, one thing is sure, the noob is clearly thoroughly immersed in brand-awareness; he wants to play off road, he instantly thinks Land Rovers ...
As they (don't) say on the Radio Times adverts on the Beeb; "other 4x4 forums are available at your keyboard"

As for posting inflammatory ****e rather than "be ignored on the welcome board" how about stop being an attention-seeking tw@t, eh?

Zooks are ****e, end of. :p
