Bought a 08 Freelander 2 TD4 in July. Great condition - new clutch and flywheel & all LR services etc.
We’ve been made up with the car. It took us all round Europe through August - 4,000 happy miles without a problem. Up steep mountains and long drives. Car has handled anything we asked of it.
Since we came back though it’s developed a sluggishness when engaging the gears and a kind of rumbling sound just as each gear kicks in. Sounds as if something is loose but there’s nothing visual.
All fluid levels are fine and the engine ticks over fabulous still.
Any ideas what could cause this ??
Cheers in advance - any suggestions, comments or questions gratefully accepted
