For sale is my 2005 Freelander TD4 SE 3dr in Cairns Blue, with a few optional extras from new.

The SE was the top spec you could get in the 3dr model at the time this car was new, and so has pretty much everything apart from Sat Nav, as follows:

Full black heated leather interior (optional extra, most just come with half leather), all works properly, and is lovely on a cold morning!
Air conditioning, recently regassed by Advanced Radiators in Newcastle.
Cold Climate Pack, this includes heated windscreen and mirrors as well as the heated seats. Makes de-icer almost unnecessary on winter mornings.
Rear Park Distance Control
Glass sunroofs
Electric everything, mirrors, windows etc
TD4 M47 BMW engine, lovely and reliable, pulls well throughout the rev range.
Manual gearbox
6CD changer with steering wheel controls
Factory tinted rear and side windows
FULL LAND ROVER/SPECIALIST SERVICE & MAINTENANCE HISTORY

I've had the car almost 2 years, and it now has approaching 92,000 miles, it's in use daily, so this will rise a little. In the time I've had it, I've done a few things to the car...

Whole new clutch, single mass flywheel and complete hydraulics replacement in October 2013 at Kirkbymoorside LandRovers (clutch/hydraulics went when in Yorkshire, so had to be done at the nearest local specialist and they were recommended)
New Lucas alternator fitted at Cheviot 4x4 in May 2014

The car has been incredibly reliable in the time I've owned it, despite all the major horror stories that the internet throws up. The VCU and IRD all work perfectly, no knocking, or any other problems at all. It also has both front and rear propshafts, more and more cars for sale have them removed "for mpg reasons", which often means that the IRD/VCU is knackered, as the mpg saving by removing the props is only noticeable in long calculations, not in the wallet!!

I've improved a few things in the time I've had it, to make it a better daily drive, I've done the following:

Full Allisport EGR delete and silicone hoses
BMW crankcase breather mod (BMW modified the crankcase breather from a filter to a cyclone, Land Rover didn't update it on their own engines, but its a known improvement, so I fitted a genuine BMW breather unit)
Full ASA Fabrication 40mm lift kit with Bearmach camber pins and a complete 4 wheel alignment
Modular wheels (16x7, proper Freelander fitment) in gloss black shod with Cooper Discoverer AT3 all terrain tyres in 225/75/16 all round, including a brand new spare. Wheels were new December 2013, tyres were new July 2013 (they were fitted to original 16" alloys before changing the wheels)
Tyres have approx 8-9mm left and are absolutely excellent in all conditions whilst being relatively inexpensive.
Extended breathers from the rear diff, gearbox and IRD, all terminate at the top of the engine bay
Remap done by Durham Remaps approx 6 months ago, I requested a balanced map from them, nothing silly with loads of top end power as thats pretty pointless in a diesel. The car pulls noticeably better than a standard Freelander, and is well within the standard safe limits of the engine (I use the car for work, so need it to remain reliable)

The car is due a B service, which will be carried out at Cheviot 4x4 when I can find a day that I don't need the car for work. If this isn't done before the car is sold, I will happily deduct the £300 quoted for the service from the sale price for you to carry this service out for yourself.

Tax expires end October, MOT is around the same time (only thing it needed last year was a ball joint, which was done at Cheviot before being re-tested).

The car would make an ideal off roader, green laner and so on, even an expedition vehicle if you fancy using something other than the usual...!

I'd like £4500 given the additions the car has, and the work that has gone into the car (the clutch and flywheel replacement alone was nearly £1000), however I will accept reasonable offers.

The car is HPI clear, no finance or anything outstanding.

Will upload more photos as I take them.

Reason for sale.... I bought a Freelander 2 in June, but only just got round to selling this one. Not interested in any part ex or anything at all. No timewasters, agencies, offers of camels or cousins from Nigeria wanting to meet me at a port with cash.
Test drives only with proof of fully comp insurance, otherwise, I'll be happy to drive the car around for you.
Can pick you up from local train station or airport (Newcastle) if need be, no problem, have done it before.
Cash only.
