Hi guys,
Need some help/advice on my RR L322 2007 TDV8. I took it to a range rover specialist about 10 days ago who I always use, I had the front control arms replaced. Ever since then (not every time it's driven) I get "suspension fault max speed 30" suspension drops on to stops and all led suspension lights disappear. Turn engine off and back on and lights all come back on and all seems ok.

Suspension lifts and lowers all ok not slow or anything. Had a look at compressor and muffler all clean and all looks good, would say compressor was renewed not long before I purchased vehicle (3yrs ago next month). Checked balance on 4x4 info screen all looks ok. Should the suspension need recalibrating after having control arms done? I don't no but if there was a major fault somewhere it would do it every time it's driven? I may be totally wrong there. I'm thinking maybe height sensors? It doesn't drop over night or anything.

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm also going to phone the garage tomorrow and see what they say about it. But I have found this forum very helpful so I thought I would start with you guys.

Cheers

Just a thought, if when the control arms were done and the struts were left to dangle out of expected range the sensors may have gone on to a dirty part of the track and picked up some muck, normally clears its self after a while, not saying that`s your fault but does happen.

Thanks Brian, maybe worth having a look and giving them bit of a clean. Cheers

As above - and as per the messages from @1988smithy about the same thing, if the sensor has gone on to a dirty part of the track it can come up with a fault....

Have you had it plugged into diagnostics to see what the EAS ECU is complaining about?
Haven't plugged it in, I haven't got a diagnostic tool but a friend has so might be worth plugging in and seeing what we got. Will give them a clean first and see what happens from there. cheers for the help.

If they are the same as P38 sensors they are sealed, either replace or wait until they self clean.

So that's the 3rd trip I have done know and suspension fault has not appeared once. Over 100 miles and it seems as if it has resolved itself. bit odd. Lol

So I was bang on the money:D
I must be learning some of the stuff I read on here:)
I think you we're mate, :) feeling a bit more confident now having driven it a few times and nothing. Thanks for that mate as I could of saved a bit of money there. I will let you no if problem comes back. Fingers crossed. I do find these forums really helpful :) cheers
