110 suspension am I mad.

So I've done plenty of reading and seaching
At the moment I'm struggling to find a reason NOT to fit S###Part HD springs and dampers/shocks (call them what you will)
Are these the one thing that S###Part are able to do right
I've got a 300Tdi 110 C.S.W. and I've just removed the 'self levelling unit', the suspension was a little tired before, so it is DEFINITELY tired now, I don't carry or tow stupidly heavy weights on a regular basis, but from what I've read H.D. springs are still the way to go
So, anyway, it's late, I'm off to bed, but as ever your wisdom/advice/abuse is appreciated

I've got them on my 110 hicap, and had 'em on my disco too.
But I have the pro-comp shocks.

I like them, they're not too stiff for day to day stuff, and when you put some proper weight on the Landy they don't wallow about.

Contrary to much of the parts they sell, their springs seem to be doing a good job, especially considering that (at last here...) they sell for a third of the price of OEM ones.

Their springs are good!
If you go off road and don't need carry weight, don't go hd. It will reduce flex.
But if you use it for the road and/or do carry weight it wont be a bad idea

I wouldn't go HD apart from on vehicles that tow a lot or carry heavy weights even then if

Then you have the best of both worlds, nice springs for regular driving but heavier capacity for load bearing

britpart yellow springs and gas shockers are good quality surprisingly ,ive fitted a lot

I got grit part hd springs, going to give them an off road test next weekend, there ok on the road

the are very limiting offroad!

I have fitted shockers to a disco on standard springs what are adjustable by air pressure via a tyre inflater
I have fitted them to cars aswell

A wast of time if you dont tow or carry any thing

Don't really go "Offroad" as such, but plenty of fields, tracks etc

So for that sort of money (£200 ish), they sound like a a plan at the minute

Will the fact that I have now got rid of my 'Self levelling unit' not matter, from what I've read 'Most' people say to get HD after getting rid of the self levelling

I dont think all 110's had self levelling anyway

personally id go with hd yellow springs and shockers

I've got medium duty on my disco. Perfect for what it does. Didn't want the bone shaking feels-like-blocks-of-wood-not-springs ride. Been on for a year now and no complaints.

i fitted them on mine 2 years ago had no problem with them still going strong

I had yellow HD springs and shockers on my Disco and I liked them and they improved the ride no end to the shagged original ones (until I stuck it into a ditch and wall lol)
