Just been for my first decent drive in the Landy since doing the springs etc, bloody work getting in the way:rolleyes::rolleyes: Well I for one am very happy with the HD Springs, definitely handles much better on the road, and despite putting my foot down on the rough track to the house I still have all my teeth and my spine is still in one piece:cool::cool:, so thanks for all the advice;);):tea:

Make sure you've got a big pry bar and some spring compressors ;););););), I lost a couple of hours waiting for Mrs Grimmer to come home so I could go and get some spring compressors:rolleyes::rolleyes:, and I had a lie in anorl:D:D.
You'll do it EASILY in a 'Normal' day;););)

You don't need a spring compressors I have done many land rover with out them

Just read the whole thread, very useful.
If I fit the HD setup should I remove the Borg self levelling thing?
(1989 200tdi 110 CSW).

It's sitting on the **** now (has been for months). I'm hoping its just the springs they look original, but thinking I might as well fit a complete kit and prob hd (winch, bumper & roof rack).

I did, but don't know if you have to or not:confused::confused::confused:
Apparently you can check if it's working, from what I recall, you load the back up with a decent amount of weight, measure where the Landy is sitting. Then drive a couple of miles and re-measure, the suspension should have pumped itself back level again if the unit is working. I think thats right, but await to be corrected if I'm not:D:D:D:D
