Hi all, I'm having trouble getting the correct fr. suspension springs for my FL1. I purchased from Parts in Motion a pair of fr. springs p/no RC3466 ( KYB) after their fitment list said they fitted all FL1's from chassis no 1A0 onwards (mines 4A4....., I also checked KYB's website as well before ordering. Parts in Motion won't supply the correct ones or a refund because it's outside their 30 day policy.
If you look at the dampers you can see they're the originals, Delphi & the date on them is correct 01/04, unfortunately I can't make out the first part of the LR p/no. Mines a 5 door without sports suspension.
So if anyone can point me as to the correct fr. springs I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance.

Advanced Factors has the different springs listed, the ratings of which change between engine types.
Shocks seem to be the same for all variants.

I also struggled to read the original PN, but doing so only resulted in finding them long discontinued.View attachment 261281
Hi Nodge, many thanks for that I think the springs on mine are p/no REB000110 as mine are marked with brown & yellow blobs of paint but as you say are NLA. Parts in Motion still insist that these springs are listed as correct for my vehicle (as does KYB's own website) but interestingly it was PIM who gave me the correct p/no above. It turns out the LR p/no of the springs they supplied is REB101321 which proves their listing is incorrect as it only fits FL1's between 98 & nov 2000 according to AF link you gave me.
As PIM refuse to take these back for exchange or refund (they say they can't supply the correct ones & because of their 30 day returns policy) I'm loath to buy another pair (although I will speak to my financial advisor;)) so I might/ will probably get these blasted & painted which is a shame as the suspension would have been new all round inc. gaiters, bump stops & top mounts on the fronts:(.
On another note if anybody wants these new KYB front springs P/NO REB101321 for the price of the postage please let me know.

I'm also struggling to find any struts as apparently the td4 sport are different I definitely need a strut top mounting bush
Try Advanced Factors in Southampton. They're generally pretty good at sourcing the correct parts at sensible prices.

Cheers nodge68
Would not be so bad if I could find part number for the driver side , but what would the difference be between other freelander struts ? Are the sport model ones stronger
I would change both if there is not much difference to standard

From memory, Sport struts are both stiffer and have the steering arm in a different location, to reduce bump steer a the lower ride height. The springs are also shorter and stiffer.

That's a problem then I have found passenger side strut (new) but no listing for drivers side also no part numbers on mine that i can see ,but apparently the strut top mounts are all the same though

RSC500060 is for the RH
RSC500070 is for the LH
Both are for all engine types, but only for chassis numbers starting 4A000001 to 5A999999.

For A6000001 onwards chassis numbers, the PN ends in 120 and 130 IIRC.

I found the RSC500070 listing says for vehicle with sports suspension only,
But could not find drivers ssidepart number so thanks for that
Did they do a sport model in the 1.8 petrol model then ?
I thought it was just the td4 model
😃😃

PiM 😩they are my favourite online store at the minute don’t say they are useless!
They refunded me no problem on a 6m old faulty driveshaft on my sons Honda type R
Sent the return post label and refunded me the day they got it

Most Sports over here are V6.

In fact most F1s are V6 over here.

Hi,these are the ones I fitted to my 04 f/lift FL1. I couldn't get a matching set so I had TRW on the fr. & Meyle on the rr'. I managed to get springs for the rears but not the fronts so I repainted them(all the ones that are listed for the fronts only fit the very early ones, if you need any info on the springs let me know). Also replaced the bump stops, gaiters & top mounts.

Every engine was available as a sport. The 1.8 has different front springs as it's lighter in the front, but the shocks are shared across all engine types.
I'd like a V6 hardback sport for a bit of fun, but sadly they're very rare and so silly expensive.

Can't find part numbers for the strut top mounts for sport suspension ,
Could I just remove the sports suspension and put standard on both sides

Landrover trade parts UK say the sport suspension top mount is different but another company said there all the same it's a confusing state of affairs

I can't think why, as @Nodge68 says only the spring & damping rates were different (stiffer/lower for the 'sports' like handling but likely to be a bit more crashy over bumps). If you don't drive like you've stolen it I'm sure you won't notice any difference with std suspension.
