so you do have no experience of yellow springs and super gaz shockers ,britpart do sell some pattern **** and very good stuff too ,if i stopped using suppliers because some mate had an issue i wouldnt be buying from anyone, from years of experience they are a good h/d spring which are good for road and give better handling than std,and will go off road ,though a long travel thinner wired spring is better for off road because of greater articulation they are **** on the road

I never slated the springs they're pretty much the best thing they do, I have a set of soft springs on mine from Brit part and my mate has heavy dutys on his disco. A litter more bumpy ride but not too bad I think you'll recall me earlier saying there springs were good, I would personally
Just go for standard springs for a standard vehicle, they could still be brig part though,
 
Well went for the Yellow HD springs and Super Gas shocks, just finished fitting them and took it for a run, first impressions......... I'm impressed:cool::cool::cool::cool: I also appear to have gained a good 2inch + lift:eek::eek:, my old springs were obviously more tired than I thought:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Good to know because I have the very same springs & shocks waiting to be fitted to my 90 tomorrow. Judging by the darkness in your second photo, I guess I'm in for a long day??

Make sure you've got a big pry bar and some spring compressors ;););););), I lost a couple of hours waiting for Mrs Grimmer to come home so I could go and get some spring compressors:rolleyes::rolleyes:, and I had a lie in anorl:D:D.
You'll do it EASILY in a 'Normal' day;););)

I'm planning on starting early (7am, which my neighbours will enjoy immensely) but I was planning to do it with a bloody big pry bar, but no spring compressors, because I had read that they weren't required! Now suitably concerned! :(

Ye, I read they weren't required either:rolleyes::rolleyes:, I'm sure people who know far more than me, who have done them without, but I managed to get the front springs out without compressors, but there was no way I was going to get the new ones in without:eek::eek::eek:.
Either way I reckon they would make the job FAR easier for the sake of either borrowing some or £20;););););)
 
My tip for this job. Get a recip saw or an airsaw if ya have a decent compressor and cut down (& up) thru the shocker retaining nuts. Rather than trying to undo the buggers.. then it's 5 minutes to get the shocks off instead of an hr..



EDIT


& get new turret rings Cos ya certain to snap a couple of the studs on the old rings.
