Hello everyone. I'm looking for a part number for an item I don't know the name of. I've tried different permutations of ring hooks, ring things etc. in search engines and catalogues, but no joy. So. In the cargo area of a defender 90 van (internal corner of floor/wheel arch), some people have 3 rings spaced along the internal corner. I want some to clip the dog's leads to. Cheers

Try cargo tie downs, cargo rings, things like that. It may interest you to know that in Land Rover circles, a "van" was traditionally referred to as a hard top.

LOL. I don't care if people do. All my mates from school have been bouncers and rough and tumbles. Grew up in a footballer family too, so actually, it feels like there's something not quite right if people aren't having a jovial pop :D:D:D:D Has someone said I have a problem with it? They're telling porkies if they have.
i meant its best if you dont keep mentioning it - we dont care and it comes across as you playing for points, its not necessary.

Got em. 26 quid for 6. Double what I could've got em for in 2016 by the looks of it. Cheers

Does anyone know what the difference is (or are they same) between the land rover oem's RRL2140RRA G4 expedition roof rack and VPLDR0063 EXPEDITION ROOF RACK? The former seems to have gone beyond what the latter go for on Ebay. Cheers.

My power steering box is empty. There's no point putting any fluid in as it pi&%es back out. There are lots of places I can buy a 4 bolt power steering fluid box from. Most of you have probably only bought one, so I imagine you'll just think I should take my pick, as you probably did. However, there might be some everyday fixers who can recommend a particular company, preferably cos they are reasonable as well as reliable?? I can send my old one back to them as part payment, but I'm keen to get it sorted today, no least because it's sore pushing my right shoulder back in to place (an old dislocation back to haunt me)

the 4 bolt box is just that its the same box on other landy models that use the 4 bolt box, new is the best at about 500, recon and a good second hand are good but are more of a lottery so ensure they are good with warranty, i rarely rebuild them now as the cost of the internal parts now means you are really only resealing them

Cheers. I'll start mulling over the buying new option right now then. By mid afternoon, if I've been successful in coupling a new one with a bag of peanuts (cognitive imagery) I should hardly feel a palpation when I put the payment through tonight :eek::eek::eek::)

Bit late, but when I did my RRC steering box - 4 bolt - that was ****ing out the bottom I used a 31.75mm Speedisleeve (SKF 99125) driven in from the bottom over the worn/damaged area of the output shaft with a length of close fitting tube followed by the seal kit with the blue seal.
That was 18 months ago & not a drop since.
The write-up I found was by Nigelw on Landytown. I've just had a quick look & it's still there but the photos have gone.
Didn't strip the box but removed it from the car as it was easier on the bench. Amazing how much fluid stays in the box so best keep it in something that will stop it going all over the place!
