hey guys, got a problem with my parking sensors, when I select reverse or press the parking sensor button the sensors start screaming there nuts off like I'm about to hit something and there and nothing around, I have checked the sensors to see if they have been poked in but all there, I tried to search the net but can't find anything so I just thought I try on here before going to rip off rover and payin mega, has anyone had this problem before ?

Not many ejoke owners on here but on my real RR, she used to be very unhappy when put in reverse an would emit a long continuous scream. Not sure if yours is the same, but issue was a dead sensor.

Yea just screams one long beep, What's best way of finding the faulty one and I thought all range rovers wasn't "REAL" apart from the classic.

A diagnostics tool?
There are varying opinions on 'real' RR but I've never seen a real one yet that you can stand, with you and it on the same level, and look over it's roof*. Admit it, you bought a badge, designed by Skeletor Beckham, for the school run. Each to their own I guess but it's similar to Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani. :)

* With exception of those rusting wonderful hulks seen in various locations, who no longer need wheels :D

Gone fishing, cos they're biting

Ah ok I shall get it plugged in tomorrow thanks, na I bought it for the misses because she wanted one, I drive my van around or my real Land Rover or ride my ktm and rarely drive the evoque which i think is a mighty car in its class where it stands against the x3 and q3 and similar small 4x4's out there especially with the one I got with its spec.

None of which says it's anything but another small 4x4( not even that in some specs) estate, designed and bought for the school run. Doesn't do anything to support it bearing the Range Rover badge.
You're welcome ref sensor hope it sorts it.

Here fishy, fishy

Cannot find any fault with that quote.
The classic was here in late 94 and that ended the true RR.
All p*ss after that.

I think someone is a indenial, I bet you have evoque wall posters/calendars and evoque pyjamas you wear to bed with a evoque duvet

Exactly, I though after the classic all range rovers then turned into school run cars lol:p

Ssshhhhhh don't tell everyone................

On a separate note can I have shot on your KTM. Now that looks like fun.Do they only do them in orange, as quite fancy one but it would clash with the vroom vrooms in that colour.

It depends on your view.....

It can be looked at in three ways.....

Design(Style), Design(Heritage) and Reason....

Design(Style):
A few of the styling cues that make Range Rover what it is:

*Clamsheel Bonnet - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-Just
*'Floating' Roof - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-Yes
*Castallated Bonnet - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-No
Split Tailgate - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-No
Sloped Rear bodywork behind rear wheels to increase Ramp Angles - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-No
Bluff Bow - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-No

* = Market Research carried out by Land Rover during P38 development showed that the public agreed these items as what are considered when thinking about 'Range Rover'

So in the sense of Styling, the Evoque is barely a Range Rover.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Design(Heritage):
Some may consider a true Range Rover with true Land Rover heritage should have the following (among many):

Ladder Chassis - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-No, L320-No, L405-No, Evoque-No
Solid Axles - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-No, L320-No, L405-No, Evoque-No
Soft Suspension - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-No, L405-Just, Evoque-No
Easy to manage switch gear - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Just, Evoque-No
Epic Off Road ability - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-Bless, it tries!!
A V8 engine option - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-No
Permanent 4 wheel drive - RRCL-Yes, P38-Yes, L322-Yes, L320-Yes, L405-Yes, Evoque-Depends on Model

So, from that above the P38 is the last of the Land Rover Heritage Range Rovers but the Evoque just doesn't even define itself as Range Rover.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And finally, Reason:
Range Rover was developed to be the Flagship of the Land Rover Marque, the pinnacle of what it can achieve. It was to be revered and respected as a vehicle. One that you would aspire to own.

A brand that shows the world that you have taste, style, passion and desire. You have made a conscious choice to drive the best of a marque that says a lot about you as a person, that you take life seriously, worked hard and now deserve the best of the best of the best - no second best option, but the pinnacle of a brand, a brand that befits your passion and dreams, one that wants to be the best, one that wants you to feel comfort and made to feel special.....a brand that makes you feel top of the world.....one that makes you relish spending £80-90k on a vehicle because it is worth it.....

The Evoque is not the flagship model....nor is it the pinnacle of what Land Rover can do. It doesn't say 'I am the best of the best, therefore my owner is the best of the best'.

The Evoque is just a second best alternative - and that is NOT the reason behind Range Rover.....

Awwwww Ant, you spoiled my fishing trip. There be me, carefully wiggling tasty morsels and drawing the fishes in one by one and along you come, with the dynamite, and blow them out the water. Now I have to go looking elsewhere for a little tickle ( cue Andy and his sailors)
;):p:D:D:D

Great rant though
