I have a 2008 disco 3, I had it sat for 2 weeks, when I started it up after that I had a fault appear ' Parking Brake Fault ' with the yellow steady light and red flashing parking light. When activating the EPB there are no sounds coming from the motor at all, I have no idea as to why this fault has suddenly appeared, I've replaced the EPB switch, I've scanned for codes to which nothing comes up, and I've searched the internet high and low for answers to no avail, I have also checked the fuses which are all good.

Just to add Before I let the vehicle sit for 2 weeks, I parked the vehicle with the EPB on and when I started it up after the EPB was off Automatically. the only problem I had was the parking sensors were intermittent, other than that the EPB worked fine with no issues at all.

Also the EPB is not stuck and I haven't had to pull the emergency release.

Any Help is Greatly appreciated

So I checked the battery and its sitting at 14.1V could this cause an issue?
I'm not a D3/4 bloke, more a D1/2 bloke.
But if there is nothing charging the batt and it is disconnected AND you have left it awhile before testing, then that seems weird for a nominal 12 V batt which when good and fresh should indicate about 12.6 volts.
But if it is in a running car then 14.1 odd sounds OK as an alternator should charge at about that.
I'll tag @gstuart who is the D3/4 guru.
Best of luck mate!
