Hello,

My EAS compressor is running well over half the time I'm driving which I'm sure is not correct. Whenever I slow down I can hear it.

If I remove the relay under the passenger seat it's several days before the suspension starts to sink so I guess that there are no major air leaks.
With the relay in place the valve block starts clicking, and the suspension starts sinking, a few seconds after turning the engine off.

I fitted a reconditioned valve block from Kurt just under three years ago and, before that, new air bags and height sensors.

This problem is not new and possibly dates back to when the valve block and sensors were replaced - I don't drive the car a lot and have been ignoring the problem but perhaps I should try and sort something before the compressor fails!

Any thought or suggestions please? 👍

could be anything, you need to do some checks
is the compressor making pressure? are there any leaks? are you levels in spec? is the car hunting for an unobtainable height? do you have any error codes?

If it's running a lot given there appear to be no leaks, the compressor is prob not working properly. A rebuild is fairly strait forward. This is a great place to start

A spray bottle with (dishwashing liq/water) can be used to spray the various connectors, to check for leaks.

I would also fill the tank properly. Run engine (in a ventilated area) with door or tailgate open to stop eas trying to work. Given your situation, likely take about 10min. Then close the door to enable the EAS to move to the required height. Once settled see if it wants to keep running.

Good luck!
