i wouldnt say axles being powder coated is the best idea. similar to powder coating a chassis. might look nice to start with though.

are we talking primer you would use on the chassis, or primer for automiotive top coats? our primer has been on a crane, not overcoated for the last 18 years, and still good. but its not the ideal primer for finished panels etc, unless you like terracotta?
