Off the top of my head i think it was in security in valeo, i will have to plug in the Nanocom and double check, it was a while ago i did it.

The chimes can be changed, mine chimes when i leave the key in but it can be switched off using a Nanocom. Mine used to chime 6 times, it was to do with the alarm but sorted it with the Nanocom

Ive got a 1983 series 3 petrol, and it clicks when the key is turned, i have changed the starter motor and it still does the same, the battery is good. It got a new coil and starts first time off a bump start. Any ideas what i can check next. Archie

When i take mine out of difflock i always reverse for a about 20 feet just to make sure its out of difflock. Archie

Thanks for the replies, where is the oil pump and the oil pressure switch on a 300tdi. If the vacuum pump isnt the problem i can look at checking the pressure problem. Archie

As Bobbler has said check all the pipes for splits, this is what was the problem with mine. Im not sure about your LR but on mine the vacuum pump for the cruise control is underneath the passenger side headlight below the jack, the pipe runs along the wing and acrosss the bulkhead and attached...

When i did mine i pushed the seal all the way into the bearing, even if you leave it flush with the hub, when you tighten the hub nut up it will pull it into the bearing anyway i think. Archie

I have a 300tdi auto, im trying to find out if it has a spider or not because it nearly dies sometimes then comes back to life, is this the wire that i should be looking at to determine if its edc or spider. Archie
