Hi im after some advice i am part way through doing the rear legs have removed all the tank and bits and am now ready to cut the chassie the car is on flat ground and still on it wheels where do i need to support the body when i cut the rear end off or can i just undo the two mounts at the back...

morning people just changed my engine in my 98 l diesel afer the old one let go like a firework but can any one tell me if the fuel pumps are coded to the car as i dont have fuel coming out of the injection pipes from new/old engine want to make sure before i go putting the old pump.

Evening all can I ask what people have used to lock the cam shaft whilst doing this job I have read the Haynes and it says about a drill but I have seen some people using a bolt I think I would prefer this option as I want to get it tested as well and when it's off and don't want it moving does...

May seem silly question but I never had Tc before know how it works mechanically but when my wheel spins the Tc light comes on does this mean it's working or there is a problem I can heard the pulsing of the brakes so think its working but just wondered as it comes on then goes off again

Been trying to swap the 2 flanges over today, got the mega tight bolt off at work, pulled the flange off the 3 bolt.... Then i pulled the 4 bolt flange off.... Not gonna be able to swap these around!! :( Just gonna bite the bullet and get a 3 bolt prop with a doughnut....

Been losing a bit of water from the tank could I be losing it because of engine boiling it off as I was not putting coolant in with it only water i know it could also be head just wondering if anyone heard of it

Having a problem with a freelander with the L-series diesel, When holding the revs below 2.5k for more than about 10 seconds the engine light illuminates, yet when you rev above 2.5k or drop the revs completely the light will go out until you hold them again..... No loss of power, no funny...

driving home to night i noticed that the car was slowing down like the breaks were on and when i tryed to accelerate there was no joy it still slowed down as soon as i knocked it out of gear it reved fine and rolled ok only seams to happen when driving and in any gear it a 98 l series diesel any...

started wondering the other day would if be possible to fit a rear diff locker to the rear diff what would stop you doing it, i know you cant do much with front and people will say theres not much point but you never know it might just get you out of a situation and it would be another step in...

my heater fan seams to be rather noisey all of a sudden it works but has suddley developed a noise like its rubbing or flicking something has any one had this or know what it could be was going to take the motor off to have a look any one know how big a job it is?
