£30 for a big tub of hammerite or your insurance excess after some tea-leaf nicks your landy because it has a bright shiny galv chassis... Very resellable are landys with galv'd chassis... or if they break it then a galv chassis is a very sought after item... Nice for you to know you have it...

Depends entirely on what circumstances. Going over a steep breakover on a hill a 90 will easily outdo the disco as the disco will ground out. But then going up a steep wet grassy hill (on the same tyres) the disco will get further due to having TC.. Of course comes down to the driver, how well...

Change filter(s), check all of it over and give it general tune up.. Thats about it really

And if its in the ECU its not great news, you can try opening it up and cleaning the board and plug with electrical contact cleaner but it's not guaranteed to work :(

Right, I've spent about the last hour searching google to no avail! Number 6 on the diagram - 'Lower gear lever housing oil seal'.. Anyone got the part number? :confused: Its for the 300tdi disco (r380 box) Cheers in advance :o

Greenlanes are roads, if they are so bad you cant pass them with basic off road driving knowledge, a reasonable set of tyres and a mate incase of unforseen problems.. Dont drive them, it only ends with bobble hat brigade kicking up a fuss! If you want huge mud tyres and winches go do a pay and play.

With all its electrickery working (EAS and ACE), the disco 2 actually handles quite well and as a long distance cruiser they are a rather nice vehicle.. Yes they drink like a diabetic camel, but thats just one of them things - its a 2ton vehicle, its gonna drink fuel. Reliability wise, keep on...

Straight black hammerite seems to work ok.. thats what I used to do the galv bits of my trailer (well all of it actually), it lives in the garden and has done since I built it about 3 years ago, no problems so far... I'd do it properly on a landy though - going to need to take a lot more abuse...

Fitted a new lift pump to the 200tdi... And.. well its still got a fuel starvation issue.. bugger.. Oh and in the 10 seconds that it decided to work, it managed to destroy the already disintergreating gearbox mounts.. :eek:
