Down the right hand side of the engine block (viewed from the front) there is a componant with two chrome pipes and a electrical connetion plug attached to a round rusty thing ?? any clues cant find it in the Haynes manual

I thought it was trilithium .. Or is that the difference between the 200 and 300 tdis
