Fitted new hinges to both front doors, welded in a new door frame repair section to the bottom of the passenger door. painted the inside of the doors waxoyled them and refitted them using my new patented method of fitting door cards. Rivnuts in the door frame and stainless round head allen head screws through the card from the outside. It looks quite good if not factory, no more buggering about with the stupid sacrificial plastic pin things for me.

Set to with a flap wheel in a grinder to remove all the white corrosion deposites from the drivers side of the bodyshell. I then painted the cleaned up ally with "special" metals primer which I'm told is very good but is a rather odd shade of pink. Next job is painting the primed bits with top coat in windjammer blue. it does look a bit of a patch work quilt when finished but I'm not bothered about that it goes with the dints. I care more about stopping the corrosion.
