Just for people's info, I was under the car today so thought I'd have a look at where the bolts come through to the underside and it doesn't look like there is reinforcement where the bolts come through only a captive nut maybe.

I think it's on the passenger side of the engine at the base of the cylinder head?

Well, I got it out, resoldered a couple of dull looking joints, but because of the complete an utter ball ache that it was to get it out I plugged it back in to test it before putting it back in it's little house and all the windows worked.. WOOHOOOO But then my stupidity struck, I forgot...

For FUKS sake. Got problems with my rear windows, so trying to get the circuit board out but for the life of me I cannot remove the bottom plug for love, money nor copious amounts of swear words. The top one came out easy enough But I can't get the bottom one out? What is the trick? Tried...

That's interesting, I always thought the Safari one went through the wing and into the side of the airbox that is facing the wing.

I'm more interested in the bit that attaches to the airbox itself, can you put up a pic of that, I have a southdown snorkel and would like at some point to add a second battery infront of the airbox but don't want to use a 200tdi airbox. Just wondering how this attaches? Cheers

Good ideas, yeah the hole is tiny, or at least the hole in the seam sealer is, hopefully when I scrape it off it will also be a small hole in the metal

On my Disco 300tdi I covered the rear inner arches, the rear foot well right across, the drivers and passengers footwells and the transmission tunnel with aluminium flashing tape and it's made it a nicer quieter place. We can hear the stereo now even with those stupid 4" speakers the Land...
