I would think that the standard camshaft has such mild duration, lift and overlap that a hotter one would make a fair difference. The manifold, if it has fairly equal, lengths will add a fair chunk of torque. The standard one looks to be designed with no thought to efficiency or synchronising...

I believe that you have recourse back to the person who sold it to you, as long as you can prove he sold it to you. Get a solicitor's advice though.

What tyres are on the 8 spokes? They go pretty well with them. I have 8 spokes on my 2a and I am not sure whether to replace with standard.
