    TD5 Running Problem

Have you checked out the air mass meter unit ? Failing that, could be injector(s) ? Mine had a miss fire like splutter, which turned out to be teh injector loom, for the sake of £35 ish quid, may be worth changing anyway - dunno other than that !!

    12s socket wiring?

Sounds ok to me, I bought the puker LR S wiring kit, which runs all the way to the front, and has a couple of relays. The only thing I can think of is make sure the caravan battery cannot 'back feed' into the car battery, or when you start the engine it will draw curret from the caravan...

    TD5 Servicing

I use 'branded' oil filters brought from the likes of Paddock or MM4x4, as far as oil, I swear by Comma, it is used by most fleet operators and is cheaper than Castrol or Duckhams I chamged my standard paper air filter for a K&N washable one, more cost effective, and a slight improvement in...

    HID Headlights ??

Thanks for the info Discool !! I had concerns that they are not legal, and also produce a beam pattern that could potentially dazzle other motorists :o Oh well, back to the drawing board in my search for better lights on my Disco !! Maybe I should just get a Disco 3 with HID's fitted as...

    HID Headlights ??

Has anyone fitted a HID conversion kit to a Discovery ? I have seen several kits around, are they really street legal, they claim to give superb light output, and it would give a bright white light similar to that of a new Disco 3, or Rangie Sport !!! I don't meant the Xenon bulbs, but the...

    diff locks????

Traction control is better than diff lock (here comes a big debate) the secret is to apply slightly more throttle as soon as a wheel starts to slip/spin, teh system works by using the ABS system to apply the brake to the slipping wheel, and by braking the diff in that axle will transfer the...

    Wobbly filter hosing.

Hi, have had EXACTLY the same problem, I tried tapping the holes out, but only lasted until I next changed the filter. I ended up drilling through, and fitting nuts and bolts, bit of a fiddle now to undo - especially if hot !! but it works, and has saved shed loads of dosh for a replacement...

Might be buying a Disco tomorrow!

Hi, ACE - look underneath, there will be linkages on the suspension etc Service - every 12,000 miles, no big deal, mainly oil change and engine filters (yep, there are 2) Transmission oils every 24k I know there is more, but those are the basics
