That video showed brilliantly how a double wishbone system is designed to allow wheels to move up and down while maintaining camber and castor angles, thus keeping the car straight on the road, i.e. maintaining footprint. Not much use off road!

Indeed also thought that

See the d3 has the cross over valves , so once opened the suspension will act like a live axle , pushing one side up whilst the other side goes down, for off roading

Always find its so good having interesting conversations and never ceases to amaze me of the expertise and knowledge on this forum

Don’t know if you’ve seen this video, explains the cross link valves very well

I liked that video, wow.
It’s all clever stuff going on under there, I thought the 322 was complicated.

God help our wallets:eek:

Do most people really need it for road use? And a good old fashioned axle with good diffs will do the same job, or TC (as P38) it’s a big toss up and the car companies decide we “need it” so I guess we do.
But it’s always interesting to learn about the new stuff.

Wonder if @1988smithy is getting any ideas when he sees what he’s got:D

Some good research and info @gstuart

Me being a sad old bit enjoy learning things like that and how it all works , certainly is very comfy with the air suspension that’s for sure

Know it was a massive learning curve when I first bought the D3 , putting my head in my hands and saying , oh what have a done, lol, but soon became to really like it, apart from doing wishbone replacement, air turn very blue

Always a pleasure ref the info and u also found it interesting
