What have you done to your Landie today.

hi, just bought a my discovery on thurs past. all cleaned now inside and out. I have a wee problem.. my abs and hill descent warning light is on constantly and when i go round a roundabout a light flashes which i since learned is the ACE.. what can i do to fix these lights..?? can anybody help....... thanks!

Poured some injector treatment in the tank and took it on a long trip.
It now puts out a bit of black smoke when under load which it didn't do before. Should have left it alone.

Used the wipers and headlights for the first time in 6 weeks

Thought about it

Replaced the rear tail lights only for the damn things to stop working and replaced the fan and alt belts so i don't have to listen to the horrendous squealing every morning any more. Rewired the rear fog lamps and stripped out a load of old random three core cable that a previous owner had put in but which turned out to do nothing

Just received a new air oil and fuel filter, new oil and 'other' fluids ready to transplant before Gatesgarth pass time ..

Mind, still ain't done me bearings and rear brake pads yet, so gotta find some tuits ..

EGR delete kit arrived today so fitted that

Fitted my 6th gearbox! This time it's a R380 Stumpy from Ashcroft so, hopefully, it'll last.

Gave her a polish yesterday evening with Autoglym paint renovator followed with super resin polish. Well impressed, got rid of a lot of oxidation. Hopefully shouldn't look so silly when my door gets sprayed.

Also picking up my new van sides and roof that I got on eBay Monday night for £72.

Changed oil & filter, gave her new plugs & leads and washed the air filters.

Used it to jack up some fire escape steps and winch a portakabin about a foot ..

Never thought about pics ....... things happening fast today at work with too many kids from 'The Kids Club' in school 'cos their awayday was cancelled.

I changed the oil, oil filter (that I do not think has been changed since 2006 when the engine was reconditioned), the fuel filter and the air filter.
Alongside picking up a 'rustic' A-Bar for £10!

Found out that my alternator seems to be on its way out bloody typical. Visit to the scrappy it is then

Bloke brought his battered S111 for a service/fluid change. Changed engine oil and filter, new points, condenser and plugs. Checked ignition timing and changed both diff's oil. Finished off with a pair of new front wipers. Tomorrow I'll do both gear boxes, swivels and grease the props. Brakes and valve clearances next week, I can only do a couple of hours each morning, I'm on puppy duty for the rest of the day and the last thing I want is a mental puppy in my garage.

hit it with a hammer, damn starter motor, summat that Ill need to fix before we go away.

Did ya break the hammer then?

Mine was putting out a bit of black smoke when under load. Changed the air filter which seemed to sort out the problem, but just for good measure I changed the diesel filter and ran some injector treatment through it. Job done.
I love Land Rovers, so easy to sort out.
