sorted loose key barrel on drivers door which had gradually been working its way out. Being as I'd got the door card off I sprayed everything with WD and lubed the winder mechanism which had been literally winding me up (no pun intended ) every time I lowered the window it juddered down rather than a nice smooth action, marginally better now.

Rub some Swarfega into the felt channels at the side of the glass ...

Mine was putting out a bit of black smoke when under load. Changed the air filter which seemed to sort out the problem, but just for good measure I changed the diesel filter and ran some injector treatment through it. Job done.
I love Land Rovers, so easy to sort out.

I hate Land Rovers, just sorted one thing out and another comes to light.
I have a whistling sound coming from the turbo somewhere. It comes when the turbo kicks in under load. Can't find any leaks when I rev the Landy up and it's stationary. Think I have also lost a little power when going up hills.

I suppose I will have to wait till it becomes more obvious before I will be able to find the leak.

Started stripping bits to replace a footwell and found more rust. This led to more stripping and more rust :(

The rusty footwell is starting to look like the best bit!

Opened the drivers side window, heard a clunk, couldn't shut it again! Storm on the way, stripped the door card and window mechanism in a field, managed to get the motor to operate again and the window to shut just before the rain!

Daren't open the window as it might not shut again. Off to look for a "how to fix it"
