Hi all,

Customer approached me 2009 non runner rangy sport L320 2.7 TDV6, died one day after doing weekly shop. Got faults:
P0629-13, P0191-23 & P0088-73.
Previous garage has fitted LPFP in tank but no hope. I’ve not done anything a of yet, was just wondering what you guys thought I was getting myself into and what should be checked? Would a belt snap cause these faults? Or should I start by changing rail pressure sensor?
Thanks

Have a google, quite a few recent threads where people have bought non runner 2.7 cheap, and they are still not running, one guy found oil filter full of shavings.
Aside from the obvious petrol in diesel you need to check fuel pump belt and the oil pump housing.

Why would the oil pump cause a fuel pressure fault?

Oil pump housings crack, this spits off the cambelt tensioner, the cambelt drives the camshaft which drives another belt which drives the high pressure fuel pump.

It’s all timed up and oil pressure light is going out at spin over. Only belt I haven’t yet checked is the HPFP one
