New seats for defender 90

Hi, I have just bought an 1987 Defender 90 County. The front seats are completely shot. Can anyone suggest what seats I could look out for to replace them. Im looking for something relatively in-expensive possibly on fleabay! Instead of replacing the bench seats I would like to have seperate driver and passenger seats with centre cubby.

Any advice greatly appreciated!!

Mine came from a Subaru Imprezza.
Easy to fit and nice and comfy.

I have been on the look out for mazda mx5 mk1 seats, low, comfy, and they have 2 speakers in the headrests!

Impreza for me as well.
As the man said, easy to fit & well comfortable.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Have been looking and like Treweys suggestion. Definately liking the subaru seats.

rover 220 coupe **** easy to fit

I put some saab seats in mine easy to fit leather heated seats, comfortable and cheap!

Is that right. There plenty of those at wreckers here with blown engines so might have to try get me a pair. They look rather smart. Can you remove the seat base? Or is it fixed down.

its fixed but what i done on passenger seat was fixed the bolts up thru the seat box and fixed them in,then fitted seat rails onto the bolts and fitted with a wing nut so that it was easy to remove seat to get to batterys

Do they just fix to the defender seat rails? Look sweet by the way

do they all require modified bases to the seats or are they a slot straight on job?

and can the heated versions be connected somehow as im envisaging a cold ass this winter lol (first winter in a defender)
