Hi all, I'm new to the forum and just purchased a new Defender 90 (L663) Hardtop Commercial. I'm looking to fit the three rear seats to the back. I'm struggling to find many out there that sell just the seats. I found some companies that will do the rear seat conversion for you but they all seem to be in excess of £3,000 +.

Does anyone know if the new Defender 110 rear seats will fit the 90 at all? or if not anywhere that may sell just the seats?

Thanks in advance!

K

You should be able to find a breaker with the parts you need. Don't forget seatbelts and other such things. You will also have to tell your insurance company or you won't be insured.
Any reason you didn't just buy a SW or whatever they call them now?

Funny enough an op just asked the same on another forum

I wondered as it’s commercial if vat will be involved if it was claimed at time of prurchse, therefore if it has to be paid back and of course as mentioned ref insurance

apart from seat belts plus if any modules , wiring etc will be involved, ,, link below 5K

at the end of the day if the insurance company will insist on an inspection by a certified garage ??

Yes, its a fraudulent operation.
No rear seats and it can be classed as a commercial vehicle, so 100% purchase VAT reclaim and a lower road tax bracket.
Put the seats in and it's no longer a commercial.

Lots of people doing it though ...

Fine so long as you don't get found out. How likely is that? l don't know, but if you had an accident and the insurance company inspected it you might find they invalidate the policy.

lf the tax man finds out you'll be liable for a whole hill of trouble. Well, likely a big tax bill.

There's a comprehensive Defender L663 forum elsewhere so l guess there's not so much of a need for one on here just yet.
