i used to manage a model shop and we knew an old and extremely skilled modeller who made car models to order which were better than those shown,one day a very elegant lady came into the shop and asked if we knew of anyone who did bespoke car models so we gave her his card.this old guy used to charge £10,000 for a 1/8 scale model,she wanted to know if he could do a model of an aston martin db1,db2,db3,db4,db5 and db6.i jokingly said 'i suppose you own all of those do you?' to which she replied 'no i don't,but my husband does'.i was gobsmacked and she did comission him to make them.
