Disco 2 Won’t start

So I bought a TD5 recently and was fine for about 4 days, did 250 miles or so before started with a problem off not starting, went laneing Monday had fun etc etc, on way back she died, not a clue what it was so towed it back left it for 2 days, checked fuel pump, changed fuel filter, found out it was wrong amp battery so I bought a new one, the correct one, been fine for last 2 days, just come to start it and having same problem again, very weird, nothing seems wrong with it, can’t find any problems any where my self, not sure what it could be, anyone had this sort of problem before? I don’t think it’s the alternator, but I could be wrong, the battery power can’t be drained in 2 days could it to not have enough power in the battery to start?

charge the battery over night, start it and measure voltage with engine running... if it's not around 14V the alternator is fubar

Don’t have a voltmeter to hand, not sure if anyone has one I know, will charge it tonight and see if it runs in morning

Better buy a cheap multimeter cos you'll not be able to diagnose this without one and it's good to have one at home anyway
