M and S flashing

Hey,

I have a 2002 land rover discovery 2, the car won’t start at all. I bought a new battery and this wasn’t the issue, I then had a mechanic out who said it was most likely the xyz so I took this out and got it reconditioned and have put this back in. Still not the issue. The fuses seem fine and yet I still have a flashing M and S. in position 2 I can hear the normal electrical noise but then when I try to start it everything cuts out even the radio? Please if anyone can help I’d would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, just to be clear, it does not crank or what do you mean by "everything cuts out"? describe exactly what happens when you turn the ignition to crank ... and next time turn on the lights and see if they fade away or not

I have a similar issue my disco 2 will start fine after reversing off the driveway and putting gear into forward drive the M and S start to flash aswell as the D I have to put my foot down to get it to move forward after 200 yds or so I stop switch engine off restart and those lights go off and the disco 2 then drives as normal until I park up and the next time I go to use the disco it happens all over again

reverse in drive out, only reverse when going to turn off engine.
