Had to laugh today was driving home through North Yorkshire, loads of snow and driving conditions very bad about 5” of snow on road, came to a long 1/5 hill, 1st gear and slowly did it. Half way down what’s in the ditch well and truly stuck, one of the 90 boys. Imaging his indignation when I stopped and pulled him out with the
TD4. I then told him tongue in cheek he should get a proper land rover, I can not print his reply.

I carry a camera especially for such events. Bloody lens misted up last night when I jump started a disco in sainsburys carpark. Was snowing nicely too. Would have made a good shot for bobs christmas card this year.

:D snigger

You should have told him to sit tight and you'll be back in a jiffy. Then went home and returned with camera, phone camera would have done, then we could all have a laugh on You tube.

Should make this the o-fish-al jokes on the tratta boy thread.

There's a good pic of a V6 towing out an old RR, cant find the actual pic on here, some punter is grinning wearing his woolly hat

Here you go. It was me. You should have seen his face when I pulled out a chain, when his hook was too big for my towing eye.

Hippo, Are you avaliable to come and recover Carpy when he next gets stuck at Whaddon? :D:rolleyes:
Yep. Thinking of buying a camcorder soon. :D

I carry 5 hooks, 1 pro comp 30ft and a winch strap 30ft. Don’t have a winch, but you never know if you need recovery with a winch, and the trattor can’t get close enough. When bellied out at bala4x4, I chose a slitty rather than a trattor to pull me out. Can’t rely on them there trattors starting, or the trattor splitting in 2 due to rust. :p
